Displaced persons- Joseph Berger.
Autobiography of a family of Polish Jews who make a new life in America. This warm, and personal book is a great read and shows how hard it was to forge a place in a new land . Joseph Berger pays homage to his familys courage and hard work.

In the Image- Dara Horn.
Beautifully written first novel about an elderly Jewish man whose life crosses with a young girl. This book explores religion, history and the Bible in interweaving layers. A lovely read.

The covenant- Naomi Ragen.
This modern day story highlights the conflicts in Israel , Israeli doctor Jonathan Margulies and his daughter are hit by terrorists while in their car. His wife is heavily pregnant, heartbreaking and very topical.
